About Heather Callison
For most of my life, I wrestled with challenges I couldn't fully name - a mind that raced ahead, overwhelming sensitivities, a heart overflowing with creativity, and a sense that I was always just a little bit out of step. It wasn’t until age 45, after my five-year-old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD, that the pieces finally fell into place.
As I dove deeply into researching ADHD in young girls, I recognized my own story woven through hers. I came to see that ADHD was not only part of my life, but also part of my husband’s, and likely my son’s as well - making us a joyful, uniquely wired family of four ADHDers.
This revelation changed everything, including my chosen career path. What once felt like lifelong struggle began to transform into a wellspring of understanding, acceptance, and strength. My lived experience coupled with academic training, and a long career as a behavior analyst, now fuel my mission to help others on their own ADHD journey.
As an ADHD coach, I collaborate with creative, passionate people who feel stuck - helping them reclaim their rhythm, clarify their strengths, and re-energize their unique gifts. I believe in approaching each client with empathy, authenticity, and curiosity, honoring their lived experience while co-creating plans of action that celebrate their true selves.
Rooted in creativity and collaboration, my practice is about transforming what feels overwhelming into authentic strengths that shine - so you can live your life in full, bold color, and share your gifts with the world.
Beyond my lived experience, I have spent many years becoming an expert on behavior, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
I have a BS in Political Science, MS in Special Education/Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Memphis, and a PhD in Special Education from SUNY University at Buffalo.
I have worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, including coaching and training parents and caregivers, since 2008. I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in 2012 and am licensed in the state of Tennessee. I continue to supervise early career behavior analysts and those seeking board certification.
I am currently working on ADHD Coach Certification through ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) and will hopefully be PAAC (Professional Association of ADHD Coaching) and ICF (International Coaching Federation) certified in 2026.
